Spaghetti




Ingredients
1.  large can whole tomatoes with the juice
2.  half stick of butter (4 tablespoons)
3.  onion - peeled and cut in half.  use the whole onion.
4.  salt










Clear everything off the top of the stove


Put the tomatoes, onion and butter in a saucepan.

Bring it up to a simmer  (barely boiling)

Set the timer for 7 minutes and check to see if it is simmering after 7 minutes.  Adjust the burner if necessary.  Turn it up if it isn't simmering and turn it down if it is boiling super hard.

Set the timer again for 5 minutes.  Check to see if it is simmering correctly when the timer goes off.

Set the timer again for 35 minutes.  Check from time to time - add a little water if it is getting too dry.  Near the end of the 35 minutes the tomatoes will be soft.  Use a big spoon to break them up.

Use the big pasta pot to make the noodles.  Make sure to add a little salt to the water.
